The case for holding the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver
I am a resident of Vancouver and a strong supporter of the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games which will be held in Vancouver. I have always supported this idea because it is clear that the Olympic Games will bring many benefits to our city. Hosting the Olympics will be good for the city economically, which will benefit all of us who live here. Vancouver will be given increased federal funding, and in general the local economy will benefit from the short-term stimulation.
